Individuals must be receiving Fraser Health (FH) Palliative Care Services through a referral from a physician or health care professional. The Palliative Care Team will conduct an assessment and determine eligibility for palliative care services including admission into Hospice.

Cost of Care in Hospice

As with other residential care facilities, patients pay a daily charge for the days they receive care. The fee is the lowest rate as established each year by the BC Ministry of Health.

Bills are sent out at the end of a patient’s stay or the end of each month to the person identified as responsible for financial affairs.
Per diem payments may be made:

• By cash, cheque or credit card
• Through the mail to the address provided on bill
• Over the phone (using Visa or Mastercard)
